DavidHyday: Abbas to put any peace deal to vote: 'We won't leave our house'
Saleh al-Jaafari, a former spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force, had said Sunday that negotiations had failed with US Secretary of State John Kerry and were being delayed over the security situation in Iraq.
"We won't leave our house. It's not the time to talk anymore. We need the US and their support to get out of the problem," Jaafari had told the BBC.
"We are prepared to stop the fight against terrorism and end this occupation."
Bashar al-Zebari, Iraq's Prime Minister, also condemned the attacks and said his government was taking the matter very seriously, according to state news agency SANA.

The attack took place in a large, predominantly Shi'ite residential area in Baghdad's Old City, a popular attraction for tourists and residents alike.
"I'm terrified, we're all scared," said a 24-year-old student on Friday night, describing the attacks. "I'm very upset and very angry at everyone who caused this."
The killing came as officials said police had arrested 10 people in connection with the case and the interior ministry said the bodies of six people had been found at a local shrine on Friday.
